As we prepare for our major platform update in July 2026, we're completely reimagining how teams access WatchGameFilm. Today, we're excited to announce new pricing that gives you more options, better flexibility, and increased value.

What's Changing?

We're moving from our traditional annual licensing model to a more flexible subscription approach with four distinct tiers designed to fit teams at every level.

From Annual Licenses to Monthly Flexibility

The Old Model:

• Team License: $100/year (one team)
• Community License: $300/year (entire organization)

While this worked well for many programs, we heard from coaches that:

• Not every team needed coverage for a full year
• Season-based pricing made more sense for sports with defined seasons
• Smaller budgets needed a way to try the platform before committing
• Monthly payments would help with cash flow

The New Model: We listened. Our new pricing structure offers:

• Free Plan: Forever free with essential features
• Monthly Plan: $20/month for maximum flexibility
• Season Plan: $50 for 4 months (our best value)
• Yearly Plan: $100 for 12 months

Free Plan - Forever Free

Perfect for teams just getting started or those with tight budgets:

• 60 GB film storage (enough for several games)
• Unlimited users (entire team can access)
• 1 ChalkTalk for quick diagrams
• SNAP AI Markers for basic tagging
• Streaming Only (no local recording needed)
• Help Assistant for technical support
• Game Reports, Comments, Apps, and All Core Features

What's NOT included: Sideline Replay, Coach-level AI (ODK), unlimited playbooks, or advanced features. But for a free plan? This is incredibly powerful.

Monthly Plan - Ultimate Flexibility ($20/month)

Perfect for teams with one-season sports or those who want to test the waters:

• Everything from Free, plus:
• Unlimited film storage
• Unlimited ChalkTalks and Playbooks
• ODK AI Markers (our advanced AI tagging)
• All Film Exchange access
• Sideline Replay (game-changing for in-game adjustments)
• Coach Assistant (full AI coaching tools)
• Advanced Game Reports

Auto-renews monthly so you never lose access mid-season. Cancel anytime.

Season Plan - Great Value ($50 for 4 months)

Designed specifically for single-season sports:

• Everything from Monthly, at 37.5% savings
• $50 total vs. $80 if you paid monthly
• Perfect 4-month window for most high school and club seasons
• Does NOT auto-renew - your team controls when to renew inside the app

This is our most popular option for football, basketball, soccer, and other traditional season-based sports.

Yearly Plan - Maximum Savings ($100 for 12 months)

For multi-sport programs or year-round teams:

• Everything from Monthly and Season
• $100 total vs. $240 if you paid monthly (save $140!)
• Best for: Multi-sport athletes, year-round training programs, film study-focused teams
• Does NOT auto-renew - you decide when to renew

Got a 10-week season? The Season plan is perfect. Need just one month for playoffs? Monthly has you covered. Running a summer training program? Go yearly.

3. No More Post-Game Uploads

Every plan—even Free—includes our new streaming-first platform. No recording. No uploading. No processing delays. Film is ready the moment the game ends.

Even the Free plan includes SNAP AI Markers. Paid plans get ODK, our most advanced AI that auto-tags plays, formations, and outcomes in real time.

We know many organizations run multiple teams across different sports. If you're a club, high school, or youth organization with more than one team, we've got volume pricing.

When Does This Go Live?

New pricing goes into effect with our platform launch in July 2026.

If you already have an active Team License or Community License, you can keep using it until it expires. When you're ready to renew, you'll choose one of our new plans.

If you're signing up for the first time, join our Launch List to be first in line when we open up new team creation.

Questions?

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes! Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.

What happens if I run out of storage on the Free plan?

You'll be prompted to upgrade. Your existing film stays accessible—you just can't upload new games until you upgrade.

Do all plans auto-renew?

Only Monthly auto-renews. Season and Yearly plans expire and require renewal inside the app, giving you full control.

Can I switch from Team License to the new pricing?

Absolutely. When your current license expires, just pick the plan that fits your needs.
